Matthew Barrett (PhD, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) is associate professor of Christian theology at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, as well as the founder and executive editor of Credo Magazine. Barrett, Michael P.V.

Michael P. V. Barrett (MA and PhD, Bob Jones University) is president of Geneva Reformed Seminary, the Theological Seminary of the Free Presbyterian Church of North America. He is also an ordained minister in the FPC serving as an associate minister of Faith Free Presbyterian Church in Greenville, South Carolina. His other works include Beginning at Moses: A Guide to Finding Christ in the Old Testament; Complete in Him: A Guide to Understanding and Enjoying the Gospel; The Beauty of Holiness: A Guide to Biblical Worship; and God’s Unfailing Purpose: The Message of Daniel.


Barrs, Jerram

Jerram Barrs is professor of Christianity and Contemporary Culture and Resident Scholar of the Francis Schaeffer Institute at Covenant Theological Seminary.


Battles, Ford Lewis

Ford Lewis Battles (1915–1979) received his PhD from Hartford Theological Seminary. Battles was a visiting professor of church history at Calvin Theological Seminary and also taught at Pittsburgh Theological Seminary and Hartford Theological Seminary. He is widely recognized as one of the foremost Calvin scholars of recent years.


Baugh, S.M.

S. M. Baugh (MDiv, Westminster Seminary California; PhD, University of California, Irvine) is professor of New Testament at Westminster Seminary California. He has taught Greek since 1983, written commentaries, and contributed exegetical articles in numerous publications.


Bavinck, J.H.

Johan Herman Bavinck (1895–1964) was a pastor in the Dutch Reformed Church and a missionary in Indonesia. He was also professor of missions and practical theology at Kampen and Free University in Amsterdam, where his uncle, Herman Bavinck, famously served as professor of dogmatics. 


Bayer, Hans F.

Dr. Hans Bayer (MA, MDiv, Ashland Theological Seminary; PhD, the University of Aberdeen in Scotland) taught for ten years at the German Theological Seminary in Giessen, where he also planted and copastored a church. Since then, he has served as professor of New Testament at Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Bayer has published English and German monographs, essays, and dictionary articles, primarily on the Gospels and the book of Acts.


Beale, G.K.

G. K. Beale (PhD, Cambridge University) is the J. Gresham Machen Chair of New Testament and professor of New Testament and biblical theology at Westminster Theological Seminary. He has taught at Grove City College, Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and Wheaton College Graduate School, and is a past president of the Evangelical Theological Society.


Beasley, Robert C.

Robert C. Beasley is a graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary in California and a church elder. He is founder of COMPS InfoSystems, where he was CEO until he retired to devote more time to teaching and writing. He is also author of Proverbs for Promise Keeping, The Wisdom of Proverbs: An Essential Guide, and with his wife, Amy, Wisdom for Women.


Beeke, Joel R.

Joel R. Beeke is president of Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary, where he also serves as professor of systematic theology and homiletics. He is a pastor of Heritage Reformed Congregation in Grand Rapids, Michigan.


Beisner, E. Calvin

E. Calvin Beisner (MA, International College) is spokesman for the Cornwall Alliance for the Stewardship of Creation. He is a ruling elder in the Orthodox Presbyterian Church and the author of several books on the application of Christian theology to life.


Belcher, Richard P., Jr.

Richard P. Belcher Jr. is Professor of Old Testament and Academic Dean at Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte. He is author of The Messiah and the Psalms and commentaries on Genesis and Ecclesiastes and has a decade of pastoral experience.


Belz, Mark

Mark Belz (MDiv, Covenant Theological Seminary) has served as moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church in America. He and his wife, Linda, have two grown children and four grandchildren.

Loraine Boettner (1901–1990) was a theologian who studied under C. W. Hodge at Princeton Theological Seminary. He is best known as the author of The Reformed Doctrine of Predestination.

Brock, Frank A.

Frank A. Brock, former president of Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, Georgia (1987–2002) and current president of the Covenant College Foundation, serves on the boards of the Coalition for Christian Colleges and Universities, the Maclellan Foundation, the McCallie School, and the Chattanooga Resource Foundation.

Denny Burk (PhD, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) is professor of biblical studies at Boyce College. He has served as the editor of The Journal for Biblical Manhood & Womanhood and blogs at www.dennyburk.com, where he frequently deals with gender and sexuality from a biblical perspective.


Burnett, Frances Hodgson

Frances Hodgson Burnett (1849-1924) was a born storyteller. Even when she was a young child living in Manchester, England, her greatest pleasure was in making up stories and acting them out, using her dolls as characters. When she was sixteen, she was brought from England to Tennessee by her fatherless, poverty-stricken family. There she started to write stories in a clod little attic room, and they eventually made her famous. She published more than fifty books, but the most beloved are Little Lord Fauntleroy, The Secret Garden, and A Little Princess. She said of herself, “With the best that was in me, I have tried to write more happiness into the world.”

J. Lanier Burns (ThM and ThD, Dallas Theological Seminary; PhD, University of Texas, Dallas) is senior research professor of theology at Dallas Theological Seminary. Since 1973, he has served as the president of the Asian Christian Academy in Bangalore, India.
